On Saturday I do my errands. I needed something new to add to my face regiment. I can’t afford Botox or a facelift. And as I approach the end of my 50’s I am constantly on the hunt for something that is not too expensive, but something that will help me put off my aging, wrinkles for as long as possible. Lately, I have read about some facial oils that are not too greasy, and supposedly produce results. Some were quite expensive, and some were within my budget. About $20 bucks worth! So off to Ulta I went. Lo and behold I found it. Olay Regenerist Luminous. It’s a daily facial treatment applied to a clean face after your normal moisturizer. Can be worn under make up. So far I like it. I haven’t seen the miracle happen of minimizing aging wrinkles, but maybe I haven’t given it a good enough chance. Time will tell.
In the mean time. Ulta is right next door to The Rack. As usual I’m looking for a bargain. I rarely pay full price for my clothes. I sniff out bargains – that’s what I do! The trick is – I don’t have a trick. I don’t always know what I am looking for, but I know what I like. When the big department stores have their half-off of the mark downs – that’s when I run in and scoop up the name brands I like, at bargain basement prices. Just remember, a bargain price isn’t a bargain unless you love it. Back to my story. I’m cruising the sale aisles, and come upon some dresses that are within my price range. And then I find out it’s half off the lowest price! I find a Eliza J dress that was originally $128.00 marked down to $38.40 and then HALF off that! The dress is made beautifully. Completely lined, with quality fabric. To me that is a bargain. A perfect work dress for $20!
So my question is: which is the better buy: $20 for a quality dress? Or $20 for my anti-aging regime? I’m not sure, but I think I got a good deal on both!
