When I moved from Arizona to Texas I had several garage sales and got rid of all of my knick-knacks and some decorating items. And at the time I thought, “wow, I am really purging!” It felt great! Now, however, I am wishing I had a few of my “things” back! I don’t have any “fall” decorative items, and with little or no money to spend on them I had to get creative. Last weekend I went to a “neighborhood garage sale”. Those are the best! You can literally drive from one street to the next and find someone participating in the event! I scored big! I picked up some furniture to be re-purposed, but I also found these planks of wood that were just screaming for me to buy! And at $1.00 each I figured I could do SOMETHING with them! I found some inspiration on Pinterest for my fall/Christmas decorations. Here is a step by step of what I did for this project. You could literally make these for any season or occasion. So easy peasy!
