We traveled to Scottsdale, Arizona to celebrate this past Christmas. My nephew, his wife and family graciously opened up their home for family and friends. There was food for days, their beautiful house was decorated both inside and out, and Santa even made an appearance for the little ones!
Every time I travel I like to bring home a souvenir to remind me of a special place and time. Usually my souvenirs are clothes. Clothing, to me evokes a feeling or a memory. So of course, I’m still looking out for a bargain too. And lo and behold I wonder into a quaint, little clothing store right in the heart of Old Towne in Scottsdale, called The Henna Shoppe. The shop had a very bohemian vibe, with one-of-a kind garments. I found a whole rack of whimsical pieces – and the best part – everything on that rack was $10!! Double score! The wrap around skirt I found was made of silk with beautifully put together pieces of fabric. The fabric alone would have been more than ten dollars. Plus I found a beautiful, black top to match. I couldn’t have been happier with my unique finds!
Now every time I put this outfit on I will be reminded of the generosity of my nephew and his family for inviting us all to their house for Christmas. An unforgettable Holiday that will never be forgotten.
